Cannabis and Motherhood.

My journey with mama ganja started over a decade ago, when I was 18. I’ve used medical marijuana for anxiety, depression, migraines, body aches and pains, more energy, deeper sleep, connecting with spirit, creativity juice and so much more! When we found out we were pregnant with our first daughter I automatically thought I needed to stop using the sacred herb, and did. For a day! ☺️ I was so nauseous and had no appetite and cannabis was the only thing that brought relief. We did research and felt confident in our decision, as we didn’t feel we were endangering ourselves or our baby in any way. So despite the taboo, I continued on with my daily use of her. It helped me so deeply during my entire pregnancy and also as a wonderful relaxing aid during the first stages of labor. Once our daughter was born, mama ganja become like a mother to me and I really began to recognize her as incredibly potent medicine for the mothering years. It supports me emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. Bringing calming, grounding and sustained energy to me and renewing the womb space I used to nurture our daughters. It soothes my body and allows me to show up for my children with so much more presence, joy and ease. We now have two healthy, vibrant, brilliant daughters, ages 2 and 4. I’ve used cannabis during both pregnancies and while breastfeeding. I’m so incredibly grateful for this sacred plant and her medicine! I feel passionate about spreading her message and breaking the taboo and am grateful for this space to share and open a healthy dialogue. ?? All that being said, cannabis is a powerful plant and is to be used with great honor and respect. If you’re reading this and feel inspired to inquire more, as with any herbal medicine, use her wisely and with deep reverence. Know your source, know your body. Do your research both in the world and within your own personal database of intuitive and ancestral knowledge. ❤️❤️❤️ Photo by @mugwortmountain

This is such a great story to read as a woman who wants to be a mother one day! I have issues with being nauseous easily as it is, and I am worried about how my pregnancy will be! I have so many friends who have struggled with it, but were too afraid or ashamed to medicate with cannabis. Thank you for sharing this! <3
