Bringing Awareness to Disadvantaged Businesses

In modern times, the disproportion of cannabis arrests and criminal charges between people of color and white people is highly concerning. A report made by the ACLU in 2013 concluded that POC are 3.73 times more likely to be arrested for cannabis possession than white people. This is despite there being no real discrepancy in cannabis usage between POC and those groups that would be considered Caucasian.

By looking at the small number of POC who lead or own cannabis companies, recognizing how the war on drugs has disproportionally affected minorities, and calling out the racial bias that still exists, we’ve been able to recognize that we need to move in a better direction.

As a media company focused on experiential marketing, we work with brands to create highly impactful and engaging content through our publication, social media and events.  This type of marketing is often times out of reach for small bootstrapped businesses, and especially minority owned companies.
